Tirana, Albania -  The Albanian Administrative Court has rejected resident\'s request and issued a decision on further developing works on constructing the hydropower in Valbona Valley. The Albanian Court has rejected the claims of residents and civil associations, giving the green light to the alleged ‘economic development’. Residents of the area and various civil national and international associations have protested and demanded the prohibition of works because they are causing incalculable damage in the Valley of Valbona. Furthermore, even international media and European deputies have demanded the prohibition of constructing in this area, as long as no scientific study has been conducted regarding the numerous flora and fauna resources in this valley.
