Albania\'s Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA) has announced that all terrestrial TV channels in Albania\'s two biggest cities Tirana and Durres will stop analogue broadcasting on 30 June. From that date, all TV broadcasting will use the digital standard DVB-T2.
According to experts, switching to digital will lead to an increase in the number of TV channels (including local), the introduction of HD channels in the 16/9 format, the multiplication of interactive services and the optimal use of frequency spectrum.
